From here you turn south and head towards the National Arboretum, which is worth a short diversion from our route for a visit, before following the beautifully peaceful lanes towards Wotton-Under-Edge, where you’ll find a pretty high street with plenty of places to refuel, relax and get acquainted with the pace of life in the Cotswolds. Yet more quiet lanes take you back to the hotel in time for another night of ultimate relaxation.

This is an optional ride but is our favourite of the whole week - so we suggest you give it a go! It takes you to some of the region's most famous villages that really shouldn't be missed. Start the ride by heading north to Burford, on the banks of the River Windrush. You will follow the river to begin with, hopping from village to village, before approaching Bourton-on-the-Water and then Lower Slaughter. These two villages are arguably the two finest examples of what makes the Cotswolds just so special and we highly recommend locking up your bikes for a while to explore and enjoy them.
