Normandy Bike Tours

What to expect on a Normandy cycling holiday?

Cycle from the historical city of Bayeux along the coastline to the charming port town of Honfleur on our Normandy bike tours. Delve into the history in this important region of France, from medieval history to the Second World War. Pay your respects to fallen soldiers at the war memorials on Utah and Omaha beaches.

Continue inland to the Pays d’Auge, home of calvados, camembert and half-timbered villages. As you pedal through the quaint French countryside dotted with apple and pear trees, pop into a calvados farm to see how the region’s famous brandy is made.

Bayeux

Rich in history, Bayeux is home to the 70-metre-long tapestry, the 13th-century Roman Catholic Bayeux Cathedral and the Museum of the Battle of Normandy. Walk through the narrow, medieval streets learning more about Normandy’s fascinating history.

Honfleur

This charming port town has been a popular haunt over the years, from Monet and Boudin to Parisian families. In the 16th and 17th centuries, the Old Harbour was one of the most important commerce and exploration ports. Expeditions to Newfoundland, Brazil and Québec City began here.

Normandy Cuisine

A regional favourite, Marmite Dieppoise comes from Dieppe but this seafood has spanned the Normandy coastline. Consisting of local cider, crème fraiche, mollusks, crustaceans and fish, the ingredients come together in a creamy stew. Don’t miss the regional specialities camembert and calvados, which both complement each other. Finish with a Normandy apple tart with crème fraiche.
