Whether you want to see the vivid colours of Provence’s lavender in bloom, admire the regal châteaux of the Loire Valley or taste the world-class grapes of Burgundy and Saint-Émilion, we can organise a cycling holiday taking your needs and interests into consideration.

Whether you would like to taste France's finest wines, dine on gourmet cuisine or immerse yourself in the rich history, we have curated our cycling holidays around culture, fantastic restaurants and the best wineries.

Cycling in France

Whether you're a keen cyclist or more laid-back, our cycling holidays in France are about eating well, exploring notable sights and living like a local. Pedal between provincial villages and towns at your own pace, stopping at beautiful vistas or for a cool down.

The Loire Valley is best suited to beginner or leisurely cyclists as the terrain is relatively flat, while Provence and Bordeaux have a few steeper inclines. E-bikes are a great option for those that would be happier with an extra boost on the hills and to cover further distances.

French cuisine & wine

Innovators of modern haute cuisine, each region in France offers a diverse gastronomic break. France is the country with the most Michelin star restaurants in the world, as well as being one of the world’s largest wine producers.

Savour fresh oysters in Arcachon, learn about Provençal cuisine or wine and dine at a sumptuous château in the Loire Valley. Alsace is renowned for its fine gastronomy, and with its close proximity to the German border, the cuisine shows the local influences.

When to visit

Our tours run between April and October, which tend to be the drier and warmer months. We can tailor your trip so you aren’t cycling during the heat of the day and still see the sights.

Historical sights

A country steeped in history, cycle to the region’s famous landmarks that include notable historical sights and impressive architecture dating back as far as medieval times.

Follow Normandy’s coastline to the D-Day beaches and memorials, pedal through bike-friendly Bordeaux – renowned for its UNESCO-listed neoclassical architecture – or cross the Loire Valley in search of grandiose châteaux that are brimming with history and opulence.
