What not to Miss
A hotel of two halves. One is a classical English country house, with Elizabethan oak panelled rooms, gorgeous stained-glass windows and a beautiful 19th century walled garden. The other is a stunning piece of contemporary architecture that hosts the excellent spa, fed by a natural spring. An award-winning restaurant tops it all off, making this a very hard hotel to leave at the end of a stay.
A contender for our favourite beach hotel in Europe. Bailiffscourt is made up of 39 luxurious bedrooms spread across a handful of houses and cottages just a stones throw from Climping beach. Enjoy relaxing spa treatments, fine dining in the candlelit restaurant and a dip in the pool, all in the most relaxing of settings.
Set in one of England’s oldest coaching inns with a rich history stretching back to 1430, The Spread Eagle is home to 39 rooms and a modern spa. Rooms are beautifully appointed and the hotel restaurant offers a range of meals to be taken inside by candlelight or outside on the terrace.
