Day 1

Arrive at Avignon, Nîmes or Marseilles airport.

Head to your boat and be equipped with your bicycle.

Day 2

Round Tour Avignon | Distance 19 miles (30km)

Your first day’s cycling will start by crossing the River Rhone at the island Ile de la Barthelasse and through a landscape typical of the region between vineyards and orchards. The route reaches Villeneuve les Avignon, which is full of wonderful medieval monuments before you cycle back to Avignon for a guided visit of the historic centre.

Day 3 

From Aramon to Avignon | Distance 24 miles (40km)

In the morning navigation till the town of Aramon, where you will start pedalling. The stage today will bring you to the best preserved Roman aqueduct in Europe: Pont du Gard, a very spectacular work. Overnight you will stay in Aramon with a beautiful view over the Mont Ventoux.

Day 4

From Aramon to Vallabrègues | Distance 22 miles (35km)

You start your day sailing to Vallabrègues, pretty Provençal village on the banks of the Rhône. Along country roads, you will arrive in Barbentane with its castle at the confluence of the Rhone and Durance rivers. You will cycle to the magnificent Abbey of Saint Michel de Frigolet and afterward down to the medieval village of Boulbon. This evening's overnight stay will be in Vallabrègues.

Day 5

From Vallabreguès to Arles | Distance 34 miles (55km)

This stage brings you to Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, birth place of Nostradamus. This village is also famous for having hosted Van Gogh in the days of his mental illness. In the end, you move onto the Alpilles, with Les-Baux-de-Provence, a village lodged in the rock itself. A landscape of limestone cliffs and olive trees accompanies your journey.

Day 6

From Arles to Aigues Mortes | Distance 15 miles (25km)

Today the whole morning is dedicated to visit Arles, the ancient capital of Gaul with beautiful Roman ruins. You will also have the opportunity to be welcomed by a professional guide, who will accompany you around the jewels of the town. After lunch, you reach the lock of Saint Gilles and from there you will sail to Aigues Mortes for the overnight stay.

Day 7

Round Tour Aigues-Mortes | Distance 35 miles (55km)

Going through small country lanes of Camargue between canals, lagoons and small villages you will reach in the afternoon the charming fishermen’s village Le Grau-du-Roi.

Day 8

We say “au revoir” before you head back home.

    The Caprice was converted into a passenger boat in 1996. The last refit, dated 2009, brought its level to today’s comfort standards. From the comfortable lounge you can enjoy your breakfasts and dinners and the beautiful view.

    Capacity: 20 guests

    L'Estello is a 1937 Dutch barge. She has been refurbished to offer a high level of comfort, without compromising any of her original charm.

    Communal Areas:
    There is a restaurant, a bar and lounge area with free Wifi on board throughout.
    A beautiful sundeck (with fixed awning) is a fantastic spot from which to enjoy your surroundings.
