Clean, quiet, welcoming hotels. Off the beaten track means you see few English people, and it seems as though you are in the real France.

Our cycling holidays start and finish at Hotel du Commerce at Vaiges. The Mayenne & Sarthe is the perfect region for leisurely cycling, more of an appetite builder than a sweat producer.
Much of the cycling is along towpaths by the river Mayenne travelling through gentle, undulating countryside.
A few of the places to visit:
Ste Suzanne, a medieval city surrounded by fortified walls which makes an excellent day out. Jublains, excavating the remains of the Roman Camp, then munching on a crepe, a tasty local dish, before the cycle home. Prehistoric caves at Saulges where you follow a guide so you can’t get lost even when it means squeezing down ladders from one cavern to the next. Listen to the beautiful Gregorian chant in the abbey at Solesmes.
