It is still the delightful place we first discovered in 1981 with warm, friendly people, luxurious family-run hotels, generous local cuisine, bustling country markets and empty roads perfect for cycling. The big surprise is how do such tiny, out of the way villages support such marvellous hotels and restaurants. The children we once knew are now the chefs de cuisine in their family hotels. Their training and travelling have brought fresh ideas and modern ways to their traditional values.
Our cycling holidays start and finish at the home base, Hotel du Commerce, at Vaiges. Our regional hotels are *** with one château hotel and an occasional ** hotel. Lots of hotel pools, ideal for families.
