canals is criss-crossed by well marked cycle paths. Cycling is down back lanes,
along tow paths, through farm yards, across narrow river fords. Coulon, the
centre of the ‘Green Venice’ and one of the ‘prettiest villages
of France’ hums with voices and gentle activity. Here you can hire a
punt and meander through the ancient, green waterways or follow the cycle paths
by the slow flowing canals.
Our cycling holidays start and finish at Le Logis d’Antan in Vallans, a typical
regional country house, now a chambre d’hote with a large garden and pool.

All cycling routes are Grade 1, easy cycling. Distances vary, but
the routes are amazingly flat for most of the region. You follow cycle paths
through glorious countryside before reaching the canal towpaths.
